What is the main airport called?

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL). It is Malaysia's main international airport, located, approximately 45 km south of Kuala Lumpur city centre.

The helpful staff at Kuala Lumpur Airport will greet you when you land and assist with your travel needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are various transport options available to get you on your way.         

Getting into Kuala Lumpur from Kuala Lumpur Airport     

Getting into Kuala Lumpur is easy, with a range of transport options to suit your needs. Choose from taxis, bus, train, hotel shuttle, ride-share or car hire. Taxi is a convenient option with both airport and metered taxis available from outside the main terminal. Alternatively, you could request a ride through Grab, a ride share service. If you would like a private transfer, you can book a transfer to any destination in KL. By train, you can get to the city centre in around 30 minutes. It's the one of the best ways to get to the city, as its the fastest option. Trains run every 15 minutes from the airport to city’s central station (Sentral). The light rail is another option with a journey time of around 35 minutes. There is a shuttle bus, which takes around an hour and 30 minutes. It's possible to rent a car from the airport to see the major attractions, or you may wish to organise a hotel shuttle.  

Getting around Kuala Lumpur

Getting around Kuala Lumpur is easy, with a variety of transport options whether it’s by train, light rail, monorail, taxi, bus, ride-share or car. Most parts of KL are connected by train, as well as the light rail and monorail. The trains in the city pass through attractions such as KLCC, Central Market and Muzium Negara. Bus is a comfortable way to get around, as they take you to popular attractions and quaint neighbourhoods. Look out for the free purple Go KL buses within the central business district that run along popular sites and famous shopping districts. Its best to buy a touch 'N' go card for cheaper fares on the trains and buses. Taxi is one of the most convenient ways to travel or you can use the ride-share service Grab and book a car through the app. Walking is a good way to see some of the sights, or you can jump on the hop-on hop-off bus.

Auckland Airport (AKL). The airport is a major airline hub in New Zealand and there are many domestic and international destinations for visitors to continue on to.  The airport is located near Mangere,  21 kilometres south of the Auckland city centre.

Ensure you check-in online or via the Qantas App before you arrive at the airport from 24 hours before departure.
