Qantas' approach to sustainability

Qantas Group Initiatives
The Qantas Group is proud to integrate sustainable practices into aviation. In 2019, we were one of the first airlines globally to announce our commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and capping our net scope 1 and 2 emissions at 2019 levels.

Qantas Future Planet
Our Future Planet program provides a carbon credit solution for businesses to help compensate for a portion of their emissions by supporting the purchase of carbon credits associated with project activities outside aviation.
