Simply furnished and flushed with natural light, Amora’s rooms focus on comfort. In Premier Balcony rooms, located on the top floor of the hotel, there are city views as well as the all-important coffee-making station. The Executive Suite also includes a full kitchen, dining area and spa bath for a little extra TLC.
Restaurants and bars
For “grab and go” snacks, the casual Two Donkeys Café does the trick, with barista coffee and the usual suspects for breakfast (ham and cheese toasties, sandwiches, wraps, bagels).
The Pantry Restaurant hosts the hotel’s breakfast buffet, along with an a la carte menu of elevated surf ‘n’ turf, with standouts such as lemon-pepper-spiced kangaroo loin on potato gratin and snow pea tendril-topped barramundi. The Lobby Bar serves the same but on bar stools and lounges – and alongside an extensive drinks list.
Travel for work
There are 11 meeting rooms dedicated to business travellers, with the smallest helpfully accommodating just two, which suits more informal get-togethers. (Don’t worry, up to 280 guests can be accommodated in meeting rooms all up.) Wi-fi is free for all attendees and food and beverages packages can be easily arranged.
Gym and pool
At the time of writing, the rooftop pool was closed for renovations. The fitness centre, complete with a sauna for post-workout muscle soothing, is spread across level two and is accessible 24-hours a day.
