You’ll spot the grand building in the city’s 16th arrondissement from a mile away. Straddling a corner of leafy Kléber Avenue in Trocadéro, the building’s Haussmann architecture is picturesque, complete with flower-adorned balconies and black street-level awnings. Skirting the city’s western edge will deliver you from Orly airport in a 25-minute cab ride, while a taxi from Charles de Gaulle airport clocks in at around 30 minutes.

What’s near Sofitel Paris Baltimore Tour Eiffel?

A cluster of big-ticket landmarks surround this Sofitel outpost: the Arc du Triomphe, Champs-Élysées and Eiffel Tower are all in this part of the city. All three are around 15 minutes away on foot, in opposite directions. The closest metro station is Boissière, serving line 6 of the system, and it’s less than 100 metres from the hotel.

Little luxuries proliferate the comfy and compact rooms – soap up with Balmain bath products (ooh la la!), linger over the pillow menu and slide into slippers and bathrobes, all standard inclusions in every room. If you’re here for the view, Deluxe Junior Suites are where the magic really begins. Outward-facing and in the historic edge of the building, views extend to the Eiffel Tower over atmospheric mansion rooftops and the imposing Palais de Chaillot.

Restaurants and bars

Velvet banquettes, over-table chandeliers and a menu sprinkled with sustainable produce welcome guests to Carte Blanche, the elegant eatery where (most) menu items have definite articles. The Sea Bream, for example, is wild caught and roasted with shiso leaves, while The Farm Guinea Fowl has a distinct pastoral flavour with fresh herbs and chestnut.

Just quenching a thirst? Sip on something at Le 88B Bar, which moonlights as a saloon in the evenings as well as a breakfast spot in the morning. The wine list leans local (naturally) and any choice makes a great friend for the herb-topped lobster roll.

Travel for work

This Sofitel outpost promises “magnifique” meetings and that pledge isn’t too lofty, considering the Eiffel Signature Suite (and its signature Eiffel view) can be booked for private events. If the budget won’t stretch, the Eiffel Salon, with its marble tables and walnut wood walls, makes a fair substitute.

All rooms are equipped with a small desk and wi-fi for easy in-room working. (If you’re planning to pull all-nighters, the spaces are more generous from Deluxe and above.)

Gym and spa

No need to leave your room for some relaxation: diligent Sofitel staff can organise in-room treatments to suit your soothing needs – everything from massages, make-up application and reflexology have made it onto the wide-reaching menu.
