Launched in 2014, Glamazon has become the go-to beauty app for women on the go, by offerings its users access to last-minute beauty appointments around the country. Since its inception, it has garnered a cult following amongst Australia’s fashion set, including Nicole Warne and Nadia Fairfax, and Hollywood’s Phoebe Tonkin.

Here, Glamazon founder Lauren Silvers shares her recommendations for the best beauty treatments in Sydney.

Who is your favourite colourist?

My favourite colourist is Jaye Edwards, owner of Edwards and Co. in Surry Hills. The salon is home to Sydney’s most innovative and fashion-forward stylists, makeup artists and manicurists. The space is raw and minimal, discreetly located in the suburb’s backstreets.

Where do you go for a blow dry?

My favourite spot for a blowdry is Joh Bailey in Double Bay. Their experienced stylists nail the perfect bouncy blowdry, which is the ultimate party look. When I want a naturally tousled beach style, I head to Hair Cartel at Bondi Beach – they have mastered effortless Bondi style.

And how about a manicure?

The Nail Lab is Sydney’s manicure experts. From original nail art, to the most polished pedicures, The Nail Lab offers the best in both execution and experience. Their in-house nail polish is available in a rainbow of different colours, and the luxurious facilities include your own foot spa.

The best masseuse in Sydney?

When I feel like an ultra luxurious experience I go to Polished on Queen Street, Woollahra. Otherwise Alkaline Spa in Potts Point is a great spot for massage therapies. Both offer a lush, tranquil experience, which will leave you feeling re-energized and relaxed.

Where do you go for a spray tan?

Noire Studio in Darlinghurst are known for their makeup services, and their spray tans are a well-kept secret.

And for a wax?

Wax & Polish boast more than 25 years in the business, so you can guarantee a smooth and virtually pain-free experience.

Who do you trust with your brows?

Kristin Fisher Brows in Paddington. Kristin Fisher is brow stylist to the stars and is responsible for some amazing Cara Delevingne-style brows. Appointments are limited due to their high demand.

The ultimate day spa?

Fifty Four Park Street is a little slice of heaven located in Sydney’s CBD. Escape the daily grind at this state-of-the-art beauty and health institution. If you are looking for a more local day-spa experience, Alkaline Day Spa & Clinic in Potts Point will also have you covered from head to toe.

Lastly, who does the best lashes?

Joh Bailey has been renowned as a premium hairdresser for years, but you may not know that they also offer premium beauty services such as amazing lash extensions.
