Classic Flight Rewards

Eligibility
A Classic Flight Reward on Qantas and partner airlines can include:
- Qantas Flight only
- Partner airline flights only, or
- A combination of Qantas and partner airline flights
The Qantas Points required for a Classic Flight Reward on Qantas and partner airlines are calculated based on a one way trip or a series of one way trips using the Qantas Classic Flight Reward table, Jetstar Classic Flight Reward table and/or the Partner Classic Flight Reward table However, if your Classic Flight Reward includes travel on at least two oneworld® Alliance Airlines other than Qantas, and does not include travel on any airline outside of the oneworld® Alliance Airlines, the points required will be calculated using the oneworld® Classic Flight Reward table, and will be based on a return itinerary.

Changes
Fees are not payable where you are entitled to a refund or alternative flight under the Australian Consumer Law or Conditions of Carriage
- If your itinerary contains only Classic Flight Reward(s) and a change to your itinerary is permitted, any fare difference between the fare for your new booking and the original fare must be paid in Qantas Points, as well as any difference in the taxes, fees and carrier charges must be paid in money. In addition, a Change Fee (see the Fee Schedule) per passenger will apply.
- For all other itineraries where a change to your itinerary is permitted, any fare difference between the fare for your new booking and the original fare, as well as any difference in the taxes, fees and carrier charges, must be paid in money. In addition, a Change Fee (see the Fee Schedule) per passenger will apply.
- If your itinerary contains only Classic Flight Reward(s), then any changes may only be made in accordance with the conditions set out in clause 14.5 of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions.
- If your Itinerary includes one or more Qantas Classic Flight Reward Segment(s) and one or more Classic Plus Flight Reward Segment(s), and you change:
- (a) one or more Qantas Classic Reward Segment(s) and one or more Classic Plus Reward Segment(s); or
(b) only the Classic Plus Flight Reward Segments,
then any changes in the booking to those Segments may only be made in accordance with the conditions set out in clause 15.2 of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions. - If your Itinerary includes one or more Qantas or Airline Partner Classic Flight Reward Segment(s) and one or more Classic Plus Flight Reward Segment(s), and you change:
- (a) both the Airline Partner Classic Flight Reward Segment and the Classic Plus Flight Reward Segment(s); or
(b) only the Classic Flight Reward Segment(s); or
(c) only the Classic Plus Flight Reward Segment,
then any changes in the booking to those Segment(s) may only be made in accordance with the conditions outlined in clause 14.7 of the Frequent Flyer Terms and conditions. - If you combine Classic Flight Rewards with non-Classic Flight Reward fares ("Commercial Fares"), refer to the Commercial Fare conditions and Clause 14.8 of the Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions.
- Changes to Classic Flight Reward bookings may be made online at qantas.com/managebooking or via Qantas Telephone Sales (call your local Qantas office). For all changes made over the phone through a Qantas consultant a Service Fee will apply.
Cancellation (including no show)
- If your itinerary contains only Classic Flight Rewards or contains both Classic Flight Rewards and Classic Plus Flight Rewards, then the following conditions apply:
(a) Requests to cancel a Classic Flight Reward ticket (where permitted) may be submitted for refund and re-credit prior to commencement of any travel on the Itinerary. A Cancellation Refund Fee (see the Fee Schedule) will apply.
(b) Once any travel has commenced on a Classic Flight Reward, the Reward is considered used, even if the remaining travel in that itinerary is not completed.
(c) Refer to Clause 14.6 of the Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions for further details. - If you combine Classic Flight Rewards with non-Classic Flight Reward fares ("Commercial Fares"), refer to the Commercial Fare conditions and Clause 14.9 of the Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions.
- In accordance with the US Department of Transportation rules, customers who redeem a Classic Flight Reward ticket in the United States may cancel their booking and have their ticket refunded without incurring the Cancellation Refund Fee within 24 hours of ticketing when the ticket was purchased one week or more prior to scheduled departure of the first flight in the itinerary.
- On the day of scheduled departure if you fail to board a Flight Segment (no show) the points for that Segment will be forfeited and are Non-refundable.
Fees are not payable where you are entitled to a refund or alternative flight under the Australian Consumer Law or Conditions of Carriage
Standard seats
Free seat selection is available on Qantas operated domestic flights. For international flights, for more information and conditions see Seat Selection. Free seat selection is not available on Jetstar operated flights.
Request Qantas Points Upgrade
Classic Upgrade Rewards requests are available on selected Qantas operated flights. For more information and conditions see Classic Upgrade Rewards. Classic Upgrade Rewards are not available on Jetstar operated flights.
Qantas Frequent Flyer Program
Qantas Points and Status Credits will not be earned on this fare other than Points Club Program members who may earn Status Credits on eligible Flights. You may request a Classic Upgrade Reward on this fare when booked as an Economy or Premium Economy Classic Flight Reward. For the purposes of redeeming Qantas Points for a Classic Upgrade Reward, these are classed as Classic Flight Reward or Classic Flight Reward Premium Economy, based on the original cabin booked. A Classic Flight Reward booked in the Business cabin is not eligible for a Classic Upgrade Reward.
Jetstar Information
On Economy Classic Reward flights operated by Jetstar, food, beverages, Video On Demand units (where offered) and amenity kits (where offered) are not included. These may be purchased inflight subject to availability. Alternatively, you may pre-purchase and confirm these by calling Jetstar Telephone Reservations on 13 15 38 at least 24 hours before your flight. Jetstar Business passengers are provided these items as part of the Jetstar Business in-flight service.
Taxes, Fees and Carrier Charges
The method of payment of taxes, fees and carrier charges cannot be changed after a booking has been ticketed.
