Why buy a round-the-world ticket, when Las Vegas has collected all the world’s best cuisines, attractions, casinos and celebrity performers into one heaving city. You can have dinner in the “Eiffel Tower”, go for a gondola ride along a “Venetian” canal or see pyramids that are almost as great as the ones in Giza.
The sampling of other countries doesn’t stop there; Las Vegas also offers up an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord of dining options to overindulge in. Eat at the city’s best buffets, like The Buffet at the Wynn or experience the ultimate in fine dining with famed Michelin-starred chefs at Restaurant Guy Savoy or Joël Robuchon.
The city always offers up a stellar line-up of entertainers and performers so make sure to scour the program of Planet Hollywood’s Zappos theater or see which artists are in residence at the city’s many hotels. There's no shortage of casinos to play, or people to watch, just hit The Strip and take your pick. But there is more to Las Vegas than gambling and grandeur. If you get overwhelmed by everything on offer, the bonus of the city is that the surrounding desert has some of America’s most captivating landscapes.
To the west of the city, Red Rock Canyon is a conservation area brimming with wildlife, rock climbing and 26 different hikes. About an hour north of Las Vegas, you’ll find the otherworldly red and orange sandstone rock formations of the Valley of Fire. Want to see the Grand Canyon but aren’t up for the drive? A sunset helicopter tour is an unforgettable and incredibly stylish way to soar over this epic landmark. Las Vegas is a treasure trove of excess and endless opportunity just waiting to be explored.

Nightlife
To drink and dance there are day parties, world-class bars and nightclubs aplenty. Sample cocktails at The Aquatic Club or listen to DJs from your cabana at the Foxtail Pool. Hop from glitzy hotel bars like The Chandelier to innovative institutions like Starboard Tack.
Multi-tiered spaces, incredible light shows and every music genre you can imagine, the clubs of Vegas are in a league of their own with heavy hitters like Hakkasan and Omnia regularly drawing international DJs and superstars to their stages.
Downtown
If you prefer culture over casinos, Downtown is the CBD area of Vegas which is filled with affordable hotel options and, surprisingly, more focused on art than gambling.
Downtown you’ll also find Vegas’s second most famous street, Fremont Street, which offers nightly entertainment, heaps of restaurants and good value accommodation options that give you excellent access to The Strip as well as also other attractions.
Getting around
From the airport: get to your hotel easily via an airport shuttle or glam it up in a private limousine transfer. You can also get into town using Uber or taxi.
In and around the city: you can easily walk up and down the 6km strip or jump on the Las Vegas Monorail. There are local buses running between the Strip and Downtown, otherwise you can hail an Uber or try one of the eponymous limos that run up and down the zone.
