Karratha Airport (KTA) is the second busiest airport in Western Australia and is located 14km (8.7 miles) from Karratha and 9.3km (5.8 miles) from Dampier. Car hire and transfers are available at the airport.

Karratha Airport (KTA) is 14 km from Karratha town centre and 9.3 km south of Dampier. There are car hire companies that service Karratha Airport located outside the terminal, along with transfer services and Karratha taxis. The airport is approximately a 20-minute drive from the town centre.

Getting around Karratha

A quick, easy and scenic way to travel around Australia’s North West and Karratha is by air. Scenic flight tours operate around the area and is a great option to see the major attractions including the Bungle Bungle Ranges and Mitchell Falls. You may wish to get off the beaten track and onto one of the region’s great four-wheel drive routes.
