Armidale airport is only 6km from Armidale’s city centre. Once you collect your bags from the baggage collection area, there are a number of different transport options available to get you on your way. 

Getting into Armidale town

Use the taxi service available at the terminal to make the short trip northeast along the New England Highway. Alternatively, rent a car from the hire services available at the airport and explore the region at your own pace. 

Getting around Armidale

Private buses operate throughout Armidale and taxi and hire car services are also available. There is a free Armidale Heritage tour that takes visitors to major historic and architectural landmarks, and Armidale has an extensive cycleway. Walking is a great way to see the city centre. Armidale Radio Taxis service the city and Edwards Coaches offer services around Armidale and the wider New England region.
