Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport usually called Detroit Metro Airport, Metro Airport, or just DTW, is a major international airport in the United States in Michigan. It is the primary international airport serving Detroit and is Michigan's busiest airport. DTW Airport is located 28km southwest of downtown Detroit, in Romulus, Michigan.

Arriving in Detroit

The helpful staff at Detroit Airport will be greet you when you land. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are a number of different transport options available to get you on your way.

Getting into downtown Detroit from Detroit Airport

There are many transport options to make your trip to and from Detroit Airport easy. The most popular way is to arrange your trip via ridesharing apps. To transfer between terminals there is a free terminal-to-terminal shuttle service between the McNamara and North terminal. If traveling by public transportation, SMART and AirRide provide service to and from Detroit Metro Airport. Rental cars give you the freedom to explore at your own pace. Once you've claimed your baggage, follow signs to ground transportation and take a courtesy shuttle to the rental car campus. Taxi and luxury sedan services dispatch from the upper level of the Ground Transportation Centre to take you to downtown. Shuttle services are also available and best booked in advance.
