Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO). The airport is an international airport on an artificial island in Ise Bay, Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture, 35 km (22 mi) south of Nagoya in central Japan. The airport serves the city of Nagoya and has two terminals. 

Arriving in Nagoya

The helpful staff at Chubu Airport will greet you when you land and assist you with your travel needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are various transport options available to get you on your way.         

Getting into Nagoya from Chubu Centrair International Airport

To Central Nagoya, there are multiple transportation options from Chubu Centrair International Airport. A couple of bus options lead to Central Nagoya and hotels in the area. The Meitetsu bus runs from the airport, taking approximately 55 minutes to the city centre. There are 24-hour private shuttles to Central Nagoya and other destinations on request. Transfer by train to Central Nagoya within 30 minutes. μ-SKY is the direct train service between Chubu Centrair Airport and Nagoya Station. You can get within 45 minutes to Central Nagoya by taxi. A high-speed boat gets to Tsu in Mie Prefecture and also to Toba by high-speed boat. It’s possible to rent a car at Chubu Centrair Airport to see the main sites.

Getting around Nagoya

Several types of trains run between central Nagoya. Myu Sky limited express trains carry only reserved seats. All other types of trains, such as express and local trains are distinctly slower than the limited express trains. Meitetsu Bus operates buses to several locations around Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture and surrounding areas. It’s easy to hail taxi or hire a bike to get around the picturesque Japanese city. Travel around Nagoya city's tourism spots efficently and easily on the Nagoya Sightseeing bus with an unlimited number of rides each day. The Nagoya subway includes six lines and is a convenient way to see the sights. A sightseeing taxi will guide you around Nagoya and to places off the beaten track.
