When to visit

The best time to visit Nelson is during the summer months from January to March to make the most of the outdoor activities. Nelson is one of the sunniest cities in New Zealand and the perfect spot to stay while you explore Able Tasman National Park. The temperature is around 20˚C during the day.  During winter, as the town is located on the South Island, temperatures drop to 3˚C to 10˚C, though it’s dry. It makes a good time join one of the many wine tours to Brancott Estate, Yearlands Estate and Wither Hills.
