What is the main airport called?

St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STC), is an international airport serving metropolitan St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Commonly referred to as Lambert Field or simply Lambert, it is the largest and busiest airport in Missouri. It is located is 23 km northwest of downtown St. Louis. The airport has two terminals.

Arriving in St Louis

The staff at St Louis Airport will greet you when you land and assist with your needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are various transport options available to get you on your way.

Getting into St Louis from the Airport

There are many transport options available for passengers at St Louis airport to get to downtown. There are taxi zones located outside terminal 1 and terminal 2 taking approximately 20 minutes to get to St Louis. From STL airport there are several bus options for all local MetroBus and Greyhound Bus services, located just south of terminal 1. The light rail, Metro link is a convenient way to get to St Louis, taking around 35 minutes. Ride share companies Lyft and Uber operate from the airport and car rental is a great way to get around. There is a free 24-hour terminal shuttle service between terminal 1 and terminal 2.

Getting around St Louis

The best way to get around St. Louis is to drive or use MetroLink. Metro's efficient light rail system offers stops throughout the city, to see the main attractions. Taxi and ride share options are available and a fun way to get around St Louis is to hire a bike or an electric scooter. There are day tours to join to experience St Louis such as the Laura Plantation tour, Missouri Botanical Gardens and the Saint Louis Zoo. Foodies will love the Hills St Louis food tour to sample iconic foods including pizza and toasted ravioli.
