Edmonton International Airport (YEG). It is the primary airport serving the city of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. The airport is located 26 kilometres (16 miles) south southwest of downtown Edmonton.

Arriving in Edmonton

The helpful staff at Edmonton Airport will greet you when you land and assist with your travel needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are various transport options available to get you on your way.         

Getting into Edmonton from Edmonton International Airport

Edmonton Airport offers a variety of transport options to make getting into downtown easy. Public transport options include the 747 express bus service, the skyshuttle, Ebus coaches, Red Arrow shuttle and a tour bus. Car rental agencies are located on the ground level of the parkade, outside Door 8 with a variety of providers available to book. If you prefer, take a taxi or limo from outside door 9 on the arrivals area. Rideshare providers TappCar and Uber are also available.

Getting around Edmonton

Once you arrive in Edmonton, getting around is a breeze. Edmonton Transit provides extensive bus and light rail transit (LRT) services. The LRT provides fast and convenient service to 15 stops around the city, you can pay per trip or get a day pass. Edmonton offers a range of taxi companies to take you around. Car rentals, walking and cycling are popular way to explore. Electric scooters are available to hire along with ride share services.
