Guangzhou International Airport Terminals have subway stations in the basement, that can transfer you from Guangzhou Airport to downtown on Metro Line 3. If you wish to take a bus, there is an Airport Express Bus with different routes to the city, taking between 40 and 90 minutes depending on your destination. It is possible to rent a car, though you need a Chinese driver's license, so you would be best to rent a car with a driver, although the roads can be busy. Alternatively, you may wish to organise a private transfer or book a taxi through DiDi (China's version of Uber).

There are plenty of buses with over 1,200 routes, with signs in both English and Chinese. Metered taxis are available, though can be tricky to catch during rush hour. DiDi (China's version of Uber) is available and a comfortable way to travel, though depending on the traffic. Alternatively, you may wish to join a tour or organise a private transfer.
