When to visit

Toronto is known for many things, such as tall buildings, rich food culture, a distinct skyline, Raptors, Maple Leafs and more. But the best time to visit is during autumn (September to November) to catch all autumn glory with the colours of the trees and stunning parks. Fall temperatures range from 2°C to 7°C. Summer in the city is divine in Ontario’s capital (May to September) to enjoy the warm weather, beaches and outdoor activities. Temperatures around around 20°C. Spring is also a lovely time to visit Toronto (April and May) with fewer crowds and the Victoria Day weekend celebrations.

Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ). It is the main international airport serving Toronto and its metropolitan area. Toronto Pearson International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Canada. It's located 22.5 km northwest of Downtown Toronto, in the municipality of Mississauga and serves the province of Ontario.

The helpful staff at Toronto Airport will greet you when land and assist with your travel needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are various transport options available to get you on your way.         

Getting into Toronto from Toronto Airport

Getting to Toronto from Pearson airport couldn’t be easier. There are multiple transport options to get you on your way. Parking is available plus major car rental companies are all on site for a quick and efficient way to drive to town. Union Pearson Express train runs from the airport to Union Station in downtown Toronto in just 25 minutes. Taxis and limos are a fast way to travel across the city and to the suburbs. Ride sharing services are available at both terminals. Public buses and hotel shuttles are located at the airport. The free Terminal links train takes passengers between Viscount station and Pearson Airport terminals.

Getting around Toronto

Getting around Toronto is easy with many transportation options to suit your time exploring the city.  The best way to get around is by public transport. The Toronto Transit Commission (TCC) runs the subway, streetcar and bus which operate throughout the city and suburbs. Taxis, shuttles, rental cars and limousines are great ways to get around during your stay. With extensive cycle paths and walkways, Toronto is a bike friendly and walkable city. Bikes are best to explore the Waterfront and Toronto Islands. Enjoy a ride in a ride share service such as Uber or jump on a ferry or water taxi.
