When to visit

Hayman Island has a tropical climate and enjoys balmy temperatures year-round, with May to October averaging around 25°C and Novemberthrough April, around 30°C. The wet season is from January to March, so its best to visit outside of these months. June through to September are popular times to visit to enjoy warm days by the pool, explore the reef and dine outdoors.

Once you land arrive on Hamilton Island, there are a few options to get to Hayman Island resort. 

Getting to Hayman Island from Hamilton Island Airport

From Hamilton Island airport, choose a one-hour luxury boat transfer, 15-minute scenic helicopter flight or private yacht.

Getting around Hayman Island

The best way to get around Hayman Island is on foot, as the resort is the only accomodation option. You may also like to rent a bike, hike one of the trails, join a tour or for a bit of luxury book a sunset sail to watch the sunset or a day trip to see the Great Barrier Reef. Get out on the water in a kayak, stand-up paddleboard or try sailing.
