When to visit
The best time to visit Prague is in late spring (March to May) to beat the heat and the crowds. Temperatures average around 15°C, making it a lovely time to see the flowers blossom, enjoy the Easter Markets and Czech Beer Festival. Summer is a popular time to visit with warm temperatures, perfect to enjoy the outdoors and dine al fresco. Temperatures average around 25°C. September and October are also good times to visit with less crowds, making it easier to dine at popular restaurants and visit the museums. Temperatures are around 15°C to 19°C.

What is the main airport called?
Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG). It is the international airport of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. It’s located at the edge of the Prague-Ruzyně area, next to Kněževes village, 12 km west of the centre of Prague.

When your flight arrives on Prague, you’ll be welcomed by the staff the airport to get your visit off to the right start.
Getting into Prague from Prague Airport
With a range of transport options available at Prague Airport, travelling into the city centre is easy. Choose from train, bus, taxi, coach, hotel shuttle, car rental or Uber. A convenient way to travel is by taxi, that operate from ranks in front of the arrivals area of both terminals. Alternatively, you may wish to organise a private car, hotel shuttle or book an Uber. Intercity coaches travel from the airport directly to Prague city centre, along with public buses that run at frequent intervals, with stops directly in front of both terminals. The direct train connection between Prague Airport and Prague Main Railway Station is provided by Airport Express which stop directly outside the main railway station building. It takes approximately 40 minutes. You may wish to rent a car, with car rental providers available at the airport.
Getting around Prague
Getting around in Prague is simple, with an efficient range transport options to suit your needs. The city has an excellent range of transport options to visit all the main attractions by metro, bus, tram, train, Ubers and bikes. The Prague metro is affordable and the quickest way to cover long distances. The A-green line is a handy way to move between major sights. The tram network stretches to all parts of the city with regular services. The city has an extensive bus network and the best way to see most of the old town is by walking. Cycling in Prague can be fun and convenient with dedicated cycle routes and it’s easy to hire a bike through the bike share scheme. Ferries are a scenic way to travel, The Petřín funicular railway climbs to the top of Petřín Hill, or you can take a taxi, Uber or Bolt for a reliable way to travel. You can rent a car though it's best to take public transport as the roads are often one way streets and parking is limited.
