When to visit

The beautiful coast of Vancouver Island and British Columbia is well known for its temperate climate. The best time to visit Victoria is during summer as the days are dry and warm with an average temperature of 26 °C. Spring is a lovely time to visit as the flowers begin to bloom with cool nights. Winter is cold from October to April, dropping to -10°C with an average of 5 °C bringing some snow, providing a great opportunity for winter skiing and hot springs.

Victoria International Airport (YYJ). The airport serves Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. It is located 25km (15 miles) north northwest of Victoria on the Saanich Peninsula. Victoria International Airport is located on beautiful Vancouver Island.

Getting into Victoria from Victoria International Airport

Victoria Airport offers a variety of transport options to make getting into the city easy. Car rental companies are available and counters are located in the arrivals area directly across from the information desk. Taxi and YYJ airport shuttle are convenient ways to travel. Public transport options include BC transit with buses to downtown Victoria and ride share options.

Getting around Victoria

Travelling around Victoria and Vancouver Island is easy with a variety of transport options. Public transport is efficient and affordable including the BC bus and BC ferries to see many of the local attractions. You can take a water taxi or charter a boat to cruise the spectacular waters. Taxi, shuttles and limousines are a fast way to get around town. Explore Vancouver Island at your own pace by renting a car or motor home. Tour the city streets and scenic country trails on a bicycle or hire a fun-to-ride scooter. Ride sharing options are a comfortable way to travel.
