What is Points Plus Pay?
Points Plus Pay allows you to use your Qantas Points, in addition to cash, to make a flight booking, book a hotel, shop from Qantas Marketplace, purchase Qantas Wine and more.
Flights
Book any fare on our Qantas or Jetstar websites, and after selecting your preferred flights, find the Points Plus Pay slider on the payment page to find the mix of cash and points that suits you. You can also use Points Plus Pay to purchase upgrades, lounge access, extra baggage and more, plus you’ll earn Qantas Points and Status Credits on eligible flights.
Hotels
From luxury escapes to room upgrades, use your Qantas Points to make your dream trip a reality.
Simply search for your stay and make sure to select ‘Use Points’ on the right hand side of the search display, or at the top of the screen on your mobile to use Points Plus Pay.
Qantas Marketplace
Use Points Plus Pay to shop fashion, home appliances, electronics, homewares, kid's toys, gift cards and more on Qantas Marketplace. Plus, you’ll earn Qantas Points on the cash component.
If Points Plus Pay is available, a slider will appear on the product page and in your shopping cart - simply slide the tool to choose the mix of Qantas Points and money that suits you and then checkout by using your payment details for the chosen amount.
Qantas Wine
Use a combination of points and money to shop a curated collection of quality wine, beer and spirits, and have it delivered to your door with Qantas Wine. Plus, you’ll earn Qantas Points on the cash component.
After selecting your preferred products, you'll find the Points Plus Pay slider on the checkout page, allowing you to adjust the mix of cash and points.

Points Plus Pay is also available with select partners, including Avis, BP, Forty Winks and more.
Frequently asked questions
You can use Points Plus Pay when booking on Qantas or JetstarOpens in a new tab or window To book, simply search and select your flights, follow steps to proceed to payment, then use the Points Plus Pay slider to select your points amount on the payments page.
You can only use Points Plus Pay for the taxes, fees, and carrier charges associated with your Flight Reward(s) – simply use the Points Plus Pay slider when completing your booking.
You can use points to request a Classic Upgrade Reward on eligible bookings on Qantas domestic and international routes, subject to terms and conditions
Changes to tickets purchased using Points Plus Pay are subject to the applicable ticket fare rules at the time of booking. Any additional fare or tax collection that may arise during ticket changes are payable in money, points cannot be used as a form of payment.
Cancellations to tickets purchased using Points Plus Pay are subject to the underlying fare rules and Qantas Frequent Flyer terms and conditions with refunds processed to the original form of payment. Where enough money is not available to cover any applicable cancellation fees, a proportion of the fee is taken from both the money and points element of the original form of payment.
Tickets purchased using Points Plus Pay that are put into Flight Credit are subject to the underlying fare rules and will result in the commercial ticket value being placed into credit for any unused travel.
What you need to know
You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer to earn and redeem Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. Membership and points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions
