We're committed to reducing our impact on the planet - in the air and on the ground - so that future generations can continue to experience the wonder of travel.
Our approach
We recognise human-induced climate change is a significant issue for the aviation industry. We're committed to supporting the aims of the Paris Climate Agreement to limit warming to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels, and pursuing efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.
In 2019, we were one of the first airlines in the world to announce our commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and capping our net emissions at 2019 levels. In March 2022, we announced new emission targets as part of our Group Climate Action Plan (PDF) (CAP), which includes:

Key initiatives
Qantas Climate Fund
The $400 million Qantas Climate Fund is dedicated to investing in the development of solutions critical to meeting our sustainability targets and reducing our impact on the planet – in the air and on the ground.
