Check-in

Check-in opens 4 hours before departure, and closes 1 hour prior to departure for Qantas operated services.

For Qantas codeshare flights, passengers may need to check in with the operating carrier rather than with Qantas.  Ask airport staff for more detail.

Online check-in is available for Qantas international flights (QF1-199), and other eligible connecting flights operated by oneworld, partner and codeshare airlines. Online check-in is open from 24 hours to two hours before departure for international flights.

Arrivals

Automated Passport Control

Passengers arriving at Dallas (Fort Worth) international airport will be processed through immigration using Automated Passport Control (APC) the fastest, most convenient and secure entry process.

Baggage

Passengers with checked baggage can retrieve their baggage inside the US Customs area in Terminal D.  Information monitors display the actual baggage carousel used.

Passengers connecting in Dallas (Fort Worth) with direct international service, no longer have to claim their baggage through US Customs and Border Protection. You can simply claim your baggage at your final destination once passport control has been cleared. 

International-To-International (ITI) baggage transfer service is available at Dallas (Fort Worth) between American Airlines (AA) and Qantas (QF) for all connecting passengers from Australia to AA without the need to clear their bags through US Customs in Dallas (Fort Worth) when transferring to a direct international destination (eg. Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, UK, Spain, France, etc.).  ITI is also applicable from AA international flights connecting through Dallas (Fort Worth) to QF to Sydney.

Skylink: The Skylink high-speed train, inside security, connects all five terminals with an average ride time of less than five minutes. 

Terminal Link: Terminal Link's orange vans arrive every 10 minutes and will transfer you to another terminal once outside security.
