When to visit

With a marine subtropical climate, Norfolk Island enjoys a comfortable climate year-round. With the warmest months being January and February, though some humidity. Summer is a lovely time to enjoy swimming in the sparkling Emily Bay. Temperatures range between 20°C to 25°C. Spring and autumn are also pleasant times to visit with clear skies and lovely mild days, around 19°C to 20°C, perfect for hiking or joining a fishing tour.

Norfolk Island Airport (NLK). It the only airport on Norfolk Airport, a small island located in the Pacific Ocean between Australia, New Zealand, and New Caledonia.

Alternatively, a small taxi company also operates on the island during certain periods. 

Getting around Norfolk Island 

There is no public transport on Norfolk Island, so unless you’re planning to join one of the many tours, the best way to get around is with a hire car. Be sure to drive cautiously, as sharing the road with wandering livestock is all part of the experience. Brisbane Airport (BNE). Located a 30-minute drive from the city centre on Airport Drive at Eagle Farm. It is main airport serving Brisbane and South East Queensland. There are two terminals at Brisbane Airport: International and Domestic.
