Qantas has now joined the IATA NDC Matchmaker program that has visibility up to the IATA Board of Governors. The main purpose of the program is to provide airlines, aggregators and sellers a free online web-based tool to cooperate in planning and drive NDC implementations.

On 24 October 2019, Qantas was granted “NDC Certification” NDC@Scale status, under the NDC Certification Program. This status recognizes that Qantas has the ability to process volumes of NDC sales against certain criteria.

Qantas' new distribution model - the Qantas Channel - is set to modernise the way Agencies book fares and deliver personalised experiences to customers.

Agencies who have signed up to the Qantas Channel will, over time, be able to offer customers new content, sourced from the NDC-enabled Qantas Distribution Platform, which is not currently available via traditional indirect booking systems.

Qantas has reached agreement with all the major Global Distribution Systems to make the Qantas Channel available to agencies globally and continues to work with other technology partners to deliver the Qantas Channel and Qantas Distribution Platform content.
