Flying on a Finnair operated Airbus A330-300, for Qantas

Enjoy the same level of comfort and service you’d expect from a Qantas flight when you fly onboard an A330-300 operated by our trusted oneworld® partner Finnair, for Qantas.

About

In late 2023, we announced that our oneworld partner, Finnair, would operate some services between Australia and Asia to support the demand for international travel. These additional aircraft allow us to connect more customers with the people and places they love.

Flights between Sydney and Singapore began in October 2023. From 31 March 2024, flights between Sydney and Bangkok will be operated by Finnair for Qantas. These flights can be identified by their unique flight numbers:

  • Sydney – Singapore: QF291 and QF292
  • Sydney – Bangkok: QF295 and QF296

Finnair has a longstanding history with Qantas and is a part of the oneworld® alliance. Just like Qantas, Finnair provides their customers with an exceptional inflight experience and holds a strong safety record.

What to expect from your flight

While these services will be operated by Finnair and look a little different to our aircraft, we've worked very closely with the Finnair team to ensure these flights meet the same exceptional level of comfort and service customers expect from Qantas. Customers can still look forward to enjoying Qantas inflight dining, entertainment and amenities onboard these flights.

There's no change to the flight schedule or check-in process. You can still check-in using a QF flight number through the Qantas App, or at the Qantas kiosks and check-in counters at the airport. There are also no changes to your carry-on or checked baggage allowances.

Your Qantas Frequent Flyer benefits will still apply as normal, including the opportunity to earn Qantas Points, Status Credits and Status Bonuses, enjoy additional checked baggage and access Qantas and partner lounges (where applicable).
