Flights

Qantas flights QF1 to QF199 operate from Terminal 2. All customers must have either a boarding pass or their itinerary available to show Airport Security prior to entry to the terminal. This is a silent terminal and no announcements are made in this terminal.

Transfers

A complimentary shuttle bus provided by Bengaluru Airport, operates frequently between T2 and T1 and between T1 and T2. Follow the signage to the 'Inter-Terminal transfer' point.

All international flights and selected domestic airlines (Air India, Vistara, AirAsia India and Star Air) operate from Terminal 2. Remaining Domestic flights for Indigo, Akasa Air, Go Air, Spice Jet and Alliance Air operate from Terminal 1.

Domestic connections from Qantas international flights

Customers with domestic connections must clear immigration, collect their luggage and clear customs on arrival in Bengaluru. Once cleared, customers should proceed to either the Terminal 2 transfer counters or if unavailable, proceed to the Terminal 1 transfer bus. Customers must check their luggage in with the operating carrier.

Some airlines including Indigo offer domestic transfer counters in Terminal 2 allowing customers to drop their bags before proceeding to Terminal 1 on the terminal transfer bus.

International connections to or from Qantas flights

On arrival, customers should follow signs to the International transfer area. After security checks, customers can proceed to their departure gate for their next flight.

Domestic connections to Qantas international departures

Customers with codeshare bookings or connections within the same itinerary can request the operating carrier to through-check luggage to Qantas flights where available. Customers holding a luggage receipt showing their Qantas flight may proceed directly to the Qantas departure gate in Terminal 2.

Customers with separate bookings must collect luggage on arrival from the domestic connection and proceed to the Qantas check-in area in Terminal 2. Qantas check-in counters open 3 hours prior to departure.

Security checks

Security screening is conducted when entering the airport as well as when entering the departure gate area.

E-cigarettes are prohibited. All electronics including charges are to be removed from hand luggage and placed in trays available at the security screening point.

Customers will need to pass through a secondary screening point at the boarding gate and are reminded that Australian Government liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGS) restrictions apply. Checks are conducted at the gate lounge with all liquids and gels over 100mls not permitted to be brought onboard, including bottled water purchased in the terminal.
