Complimentary Lounge Invitations
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern Complimentary Lounge Invitations.
1.2 Eligible Customers are responsible for complying with these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 These Terms and Conditions are effective from the date of publication shown above and may be amended from time to time.
2. Definitions
2.1 In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:
Term | Definition |

Invitation | means a Complimentary Lounge Invitation sent by Qantas or through an authorised third party to an Eligible Customer for Lounge Access. |
Eligible Customers | means customers who have received a Complimentary Invitation directly from Qantas, received via direct transfer from another Eligible Customer, or through an authorised third party. |
Eligible Flight(s) | means the flight(s) specified in the Complimentary Lounge Invitation and excludes Group Bookings and industry discounted flights used by airline employees and beneficiaries. |
Eligible Lounge | means the relevant departure lounge specified in the Complimentary Lounge Invitation. |
Lounge Access | means access for Eligible Customers to an Eligible Lounge before the next onward Eligible Flight on that day. |
Portal | is the Complimentary Lounge Invitation portal where Complimentary Lounge Invitations may be viewed and linked to an Eligible Flight. |
Qantas (also referred to as 'us') | means Qantas Airways Limited ABN 16 009 661 901. |
3. Using an Invitation
3.1 Invitations are sent to Eligible Customers at Qantas' absolute and sole discretion and Qantas can withdraw Invitations at any time. Invitations are only for Eligible Customers and Eligible Customers cannot bring guests, including children.
3.2 Eligible Customers who have received an Invitation will be able to view it in the Complimentary Lounge Invitation Portal. The Portal may include information about:
(a) Eligible Flights,
(b) Eligible Lounges, and
(c) Conditions relating to the use of the Complimentary Lounge Invitations.
3.3 Eligible Customers must link the Invitation to an Eligible Flight in the Portal at least 24 hours prior to flight departure. Invitations can only be used and linked once. It is the responsibility of Eligible Customers to ensure that they link their Invitation correctly and no changes can be made after Invitations have been linked, unless specified otherwise in these Terms and Conditions.
3.4 Once an Invitation has been linked to an Eligible Flight, Eligible Customers will receive an email confirmation which must be presented at the Eligible Lounge together with the boarding pass for the Eligible Flight.
3.5 It is the responsibility of the Eligible Customer to review lounge location and operating hours prior to arrival at the airport.
3.6 Invitations cannot be reinstated and are forfeited where the Eligible Customer has had a change of mind ('no show') and does not access the lounge on the day of the Eligible Flight.
3.7 Invitations may be transferred by an Eligible Customer to a Qantas Frequent Flyer member.
4. Unlinking a Complimentary Invitation - changes by an Eligible Customer
4.1 If an Eligible Customer changes the Eligible Flight (where permitted) up to 24 hours before scheduled departure, the Invitation must be unlinked from the original Eligible Flight and re-linked to a new Eligible Flight at least 24 hours prior to departure and before expiry of the Invitation.
4.2 If an Eligible Customer cancels the Eligible Flight (where permitted) up to 24 hours before scheduled departure, the Invitation must be unlinked from the original Eligible flight and re-linked to a new Eligible Flight at least 24 hours prior to departure and before expiry of the Invitation.
4.3 Invitations will become invalid and will be forfeited:
(a) when an Eligible Customer changes or cancels an Eligible Flight within 24 hours of scheduled departure;
(b) when an Eligible Customer links an Invitation to an Eligible Flight but does not access the Eligible Lounge; or
(c) on expiry of the Invitation.
5. Unlinking a Complimentary Invitation - changes by Qantas
5.1 If Qantas changes the Eligible Flight up to 24 hours before scheduled departure, the Invitation must be unlinked from the original Eligible Flight and re-linked to a new Eligible Flight at least 24 hours prior to departure and before expiry of the Invitation.
5.2 If Qantas cancels the Eligible Flight up to 24 hours before scheduled departure, the Invitation must be unlinked from the original Eligible flight and re-linked to a new Eligible Flight at least 24 hours prior to departure and before expiry of the Invitation.
5.3 If Qantas changes the Eligible Flight within 24 hours of scheduled departure, the Invitation will be automatically linked to a new Eligible Flight.
5.4 If Qantas cancels the Eligible Flight within 24 hours of scheduled departure, Eligible Customers can request for the Invitation to be reinstated.
7. Accessing the Eligible Lounge
7.1 Lounge Access is subject to these Terms and Conditions and to the Lounge entry terms and conditions.
7.2 Where Eligible Customers are declined Lounge Access due to capacity or operational reasons, they may request for a reinstatement of the Invitation, which is at Qantas' reasonable discretion.
8. Other Conditions
8.1 Invitations cannot be sold or exchanged for Cash or Qantas Points.
8.2 Qantas may withdraw Invitations at any time if an Eligible Customer materially breaches these Terms and Conditions or the Lounge entry terms and conditions.
