Standing on Hobart's waterfront, a row of historic warehouses dating back from the early 1820s and a former IXL jam factory have been transformed into an enthralling first-class hotel, dedicated to showcasing the work of Tasmania's finest visual and performing artists. Designed by award-winning architects, the hotel is itself a work of art. You will be fascinated by the unexpected combination of the antique and the ultra modern. Most suites have opening windows and close harbour views while others overlook the stunning glass atrium and reveal glimpses of the old jam factory interior. All suites feature air conditioning, original furnishings, special trapeze lighting, a lavish king size bed with exotic covers and ottomans. In the H.Jones, Peacock, and Oriental suites you will discover the rich legacy of the trade between Van Dieman's Land and the East.
