Southern Ocean Lodge is Australia’s first true luxury lodge, offering a unique and exclusive travel experience on Kangaroo Island in South Australia. Twenty-five luxury suites ease along the curve of Kangaroo Island's limestone cliffs, each with
open views of the Southern Ocean and rolling coastal wilderness. Signature design elements
include limestone floors and blackwood feature walls combined with custom-designed
furnishings and works commissioned from South Australian artists to offer private house seats
for the natural theatre of this dramatic landscape. All suites feature king Baillie Beds and a
spacious lounge opening to an outdoor terrace. Generous ensuite bathrooms offer a rain
shower, bathtub and signature Southern Spa amenities. Other features include a walk-in robe,
complimentary in-suite bar, climate control, heated floors, wireless internet, music system,
safe and telephone. Bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer and backpacks are provided along with
daily housekeeping and signature evening turndown service.

Baillie Pavilion

The ultra-premium Baillie Pavilion crowns the clifftop to offer sweeping panoramas of sky
and sea. Designed as an exclusive owner’s residence, the Baillie Pavilion offers four king
bedrooms (two bedrooms offer a ‘Hollywood style’ twin option), each with walk-in robe and
ensuite bathroom distinguished by a freestanding bath and deluxe rain shower. Two separate
living areas offer abundant space to relax, appointed with bespoke furnishings, commissioned
artworks, feature fireplaces and premium bars. A step outside reveals the ultimate in glamour:
two plunge pools overlooking the coast.

Shared Transfers between Kingscote Airport and the lodge are included for all scheduled flights. Please advise your flight arrival and departure details at time of booking.

No refunds or credits can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services, or unused nights due to travel and/or weather disruption. For peace of mind, we recommend you protect yourself with comprehensive travel insurance to cover any cancellation fees.

All bookings during the period 18 December to 15 January inclusive must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation within 14 days of reservation.

Southern Ocean Lodge welcomes children ten years and over.

Bed types are request only and may not be honoured at the hotel if availability does not permit.
