With sweeping views across the Tamar River Basin and Cataract Gorge, originally containing four large grain silos, Peppers Silo Hotel has been redesigned into a stylish Launceston accommodation offering. Towering 35 metres high and dating back to the 1960’s, this historic icon of used for commercial grain production, now converted into a sophisticated 9 storey hotel that provides a unique experience.
Designed within the original silos, the new North tower offers beautifully appointed hotel rooms all with modern amenities including complimentary WiFi, LCD TV with Chromecast and Foxtel channels, mini bar and guest ensuite. Taking in sweeping views over the meandering river, the Gorge River Rooms and Premier Suites boast private balconies where you can soak in Launceston’s natural ambience. The Tamar River Rooms and River Suites overlook this striking natural feature.
A region celebrated for its concentration of excellent gourmet food, The Grain of the Silos Restaurant showcases the best of Tasmania, delivering on its promise of paddock to plate. You will find foods from local farmers delivering world class produce. For casual dining, head to the Grain of the Silos Café and enjoy locally roasted coffee beans and an all-day dining menu. Relax and take in the view on the outer deck overlooking beautiful parkland.
