Located on the edge of Sydney’s harbour and a key feature of The Star’s $870 million redevelopment, The Darling is a five-star hotel featuring 171 stylish rooms and suites. Designed to feel like a home away from home for both business and leisure travellers, the luxurious rooms and suites feature carefully considered details from the Jo Malone amenities to the customised mattresses and pillow menu. The hotel also features The Darling Spa, a tranquil oasis set to deliver pampering to all new levels with a range of unique treatments from around the world. Located on level 2 of The Darling, the spa offers 16 private rooms including an intimate couple’s treatment room and an indulgent hammam. Residing in the lobby is 2024 Good Food Guide One Hat award-winning contemporary Japanese restaurant and bar. Sokyo’s dishes explore beyond the usual confines of sashimi and sushi, showcasing fresh seafood direct from Sydney’s best local suppliers. Guests are also invited to relax by the outdoor pool and jacuzzi, complete with a bar and lounge deck area. Guests of The Darling are able to enjoy the many entertainment and dining experiences The Star has to offer, all within the same complex. The Star offers more than 20 restaurants, bars, entertainment venues and cafes, a luxury retail collection and upscale gaming areas. Restaurants include contemporary Australian grill, BLACK Bar and Grill and Flying Fish both enjoying spectacular views of the harbour and city. Recently opened is one of Sydney's Cantonese favourites, The Century.

Off the king size bedroom sits a beautiful circular spa bath situated in front of a large window that lets you bathe in the sunlight. There are also two wand showers. The Stellar Suites at The Darling are perfect for guests that crave a bit of exclusivity. We removed an entire floor to open up ceiling space for a more spacious, relaxing area. The massive floor-to-ceiling windows provide views of some of Sydney’s most unique neighbourhoods, including Balmain and Glebe. The living area is perfect for relaxing on your own, entertaining guests or getting some work done, all in the sunlight or shadows of the Sydney skyline that cascade in. This extends to the large granite and marble bathrooms, which feature roomy showers with soothing massage jets and exclusive Jo Malone accessories. We require payment on check-in for the full room rate plus a credit card authorisation for incidentals guarantee. Incidental charges exceeding $400 will be settled to the credit card provided at check in throughout guests stay, prior to departure. A tax invoice will be emailed on all occurrences of this practise.
Cash bond is accepted at $350 per night of stay for standard rooms $500 per night for suites and $1000 per night for Penthouse suites.

A 0.8% service fee will apply to all credit card transactions, and 1.85% to Chinese Union Pay. This will also include any items charged back to your room account. such as restaurant charges.

All bookings will require presentation of photo ID (Passport or Driver's Licence) at check in.

Bed types are request only and may not be honoured at the hotel if availability does not permit.
