When to visit

Cagliari has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The best time to visit is from June to Spetmeber, when the weather is at it's warmest, making it a great time to enjoy the beaches and al fresco dining. Temperatures range from 28°C to 31°C. April and May (spring) are also popular times to visit, with cooler weather and lush greenery. It's the perfect time for hiking, exploring and shopping. Temperatures average around 20°C.

Cagliari Airport (CAG) It is also known as Cagliari Elmas Airport and is located 7km northwest of Cagliari on the Island of Sardinia. It's the main international gateway to the Italian island of Sardinia and the primary international airport of Cagliari, Italy.

Arriving in Cagliari

The welcoming staff at Cagliari Airport will greet you when you land to help with your travel needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are multiple transport options available to get you on your way.  

Getting into Cagliari from Cagliari Airport

With a range of transport options available at the airport, getting to the city centre is easy. Choose from train, bus, taxi, car rental, train or a private transfer. Car rental companies are located at the airport left of the arrivals gate. The easiest way to get from Cagliari Airport to the city centre is by train. They run approximately every 20 minutes, with the station just 300 meters away from the airport. The main train station in Cagliari is located close to the harbor between the historic districts of La Marina and Stampace. Taxis are the best and most comfortable way to get to the city centre, with the ranks located outside the arrivals terminal. If you are travelling in a group, you may wish to organise a private transfer.

Getting around Cagliari 

Getting around Cagliari is quite easy, the city centre can be easily explored by foot. Other modes of transport include tourist trains, open buses for a sightseeing tour and taxis. There are metro tramway lines as well as local buses, to take you where you want to go. CTM bus routes cover the city and surrounding areas. If you prefer to rent a car, there are many car rental companies located throughout town, though driving in the city centre can be tricky. Another fun way to get around is to hire a scooter.

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Meaning golden land. Also known unofficially as Bangkok Airport. It’s the international arrival point in Thailand and a major transfer hub for Southeast Asia. Bangkok International Airport is located approximately 26km outside of town.

All passengers flying from Bangkok are allocated checked baggage If you need more luggage, you can purchase an additional baggage allowance online prior to departure.
