The best time to visit Turin is in September when the weather is pleasant. It’s one of the driest months and temperatures tend to be between 18-21°C, making for the perfect time to enjoy outdoor activities. If you're planning to ski in the Alps, the best time for snow-based activities is during November and December through to January. Temperatures range from a chilly -1.6°C to 7.6°C.

What is the main airport called?

Turin Airport (Torino Airport) (TRN). It is also known as Turin-Caselle Airport, is an international airport located at Caselle Torinese, 16 km north-northwest of the city of Turin, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont region, northern Italy. It is also named Sandro Pertini Airport.

Arriving in Turin

The welcoming staff at Turin Airport will greet you when you land to help with your travel needs. Once you collect your bags from the arrivals area, there are  various transport options available to get you on your way.  

Getting into Turin from Turin Airport    

With a range of  options from public transport, taxis, car hire, trains and car sharing, you can easily find a mode of transport to suit your travel needs. If you wish to rent a car to explore Turin you can simply hire a car and reach the city centre in 25 minutes via the Turin-Torino Airport motorway. Taxis are a convenient way to reach downtown Turin, and the and the travel time is approximately 30 minutes. The public taxi rank is located on the left at the exit on the arrivals area and best booked through the MyTaxi and WeTaxi apps. The bus service runs every day connecting the airport with the city centre, taking approximately 45 minutes. It's best to buy your ticket before boarding the bus. During the winter months, a bus charter ski transfer can take you to the Turin ski resorts. Uber Black taxis also operate in Turin, making for a private way to travel.

Getting around Turin

The best way to get around Turin to see the major attractions is to take public transport. The city has an extensive network of buses, trams, a metro system and cable car run by Gruppo Torinese Trasporti. Turin has a popular bike-sharing scheme and passes for use of the bright-yellow biciclette can be bought at the Piazza Castello tourist office. Major car-rental agencies have offices at Stazione Porta Nuova and the airport or you can take the train that runs from Fermi to Lingotto. A comfortable way to travel is to book a taxi or Uber Black.

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Meaning golden land. Also known unofficially as Bangkok Airport. It’s the international arrival point in Thailand and a major transfer hub for Southeast Asia. Bangkok International Airport is located approximately 26km outside of town.

All passengers flying from Bangkok are allocated checked baggage If you need more luggage, you can purchase an additional baggage allowance online prior to departure.
