When to visit
The best time to visit Venice is September to November and April to May when there are fewer crowds, the days are sunny but not too hot. In April you can enjoy the Easter celebrations and with the warm weather makes it a good time to visit St Mark's Square, The Rialto Bridge in the old Quarter and taking a Gondola Ride. June through to August is hot and humid, so it is little quieter, with the temperatures around 28°C. Spring is a lovely time to visit the city of canals, as temperatures drop, the weather is cooler, perfect for seeing the sights.

What is the main airport called?
Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). Is the international airport of Venice, Italy. It is located on the mainland near the village of Tessera, a Frazione of the commune of Venice located about 7.6 kilometres (4.1 miles) east of Mestre. The airport is named after the Venetian traveller Marco Polo.

Getting into Venice from Venice Airport
With a range of options from public transport, car hire to taxis and shuttles, you can easily find a mode of transport to suit your travel needs. From the airport you can hire a car or take the Venezia Mestre Train taking approximately 20 minutes to the city. It’s easy to jump on a bus, with tickets available in the arrivals hall and baggage claim area. For a fast service, take a taxi or the low cost GoOpti transfer service. A water bus transport service is available from the airport docks, connecting Venice and the main Venetian Islands or for a private transfer you can book a private boat from Venezia Airport.
Getting around Venice
Venice is a unique city, so the transport options match its character. The best way to get around Venice is on foot, which is often the quickest way to reach your destination. Walking along the canals is a lovely experience where you can discover hidden corners and squares you might otherwise miss. Vaporetto water buses connect all the main sights are a popular way to get around, though slightly expensive. There is a water ferry widely used by the locals or for a private transfer and to get to your destination quickly, a water taxi is a good choice. A gondola is a must do tourist experience or you can take a ferry from the Lido. There is a tram, Uber or hiring a bike are other convenient options.

Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Meaning golden land. Also known unofficially as Bangkok Airport. It’s the international arrival point in Thailand and a major transfer hub for Southeast Asia. Bangkok International Airport is located approximately 26km outside of town.
