Dante isn’t new. Far from it, in fact – this charming (and usually packed) Greenwich Village corner spot is more than 100 years old. But this year it ceased to fly under the radar, receiving the ultimate tip of the hat by taking out the top spot in the prestigious World’s Best Bar Awards. The revamped Dante serves up an old-school deli vibe, with Negroni on tap and every classic you’ve ever craved come aperitivo time (focaccia, burrata, salumi).
