Reports that Hyams held the Guinness World Record for the whitest sand on earth turned out to be false but there’s no question the beach at Jervis Bay in New South Wales is still very, very white. Three hours south of Sydney, it’s the perfect weekend escape from the city – although a lot of people know it and the sand can get crowded.
