Named for its erstwhile owner, The Brando is situated on Tetiaroa, a place famed for its biodiversity and as a former retreat for Tahitian royalty. Marlon Brando purchased the island in 1967 and envisioned a haven of sustainable luxury. He’d be pleased: it was awarded LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification in 2016.
