If swinging Tarzan-style through the trees, climbing rope bridges and zipping down a 160m flying fox sounds like your idea (or your kid’s idea) of fun then take a trip up to Bali Treetop Adventure Park. Set in Bali’s botanical gardens, a number of different circuits cater to all ages and physical fitness levels. The little ones (aged 4+) can play on the monkey tracks and mini flying fox, while those in search of greater thrills can venture onto the advanced Adrenaline Black Circuit and literally jump and fly through the treetops. The park is extremely well run and maintained, with patrol guides on hand to explain the circuits and provide safety equipment. It’s a popular spot, especially in school holidays, so it’s best to arrive early in the morning. Make a day of it and sign up for a VIP trip that includes private transportation, buffet lunch, a temple visit and a stop at Munduk waterfall.

Location

The hilltop town of Bedugul straddles a ridge in Bali’s mountainous centre. Most of the island’s fruit and vegetables are grown on the fertile volcanic slopes in this area and the vibrant markets are worth a visit.
