Wat Phra Kaew – or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha – is located in the grounds of the Grand Palace and is considered the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand. The building was constructed in the late 18th century, and houses the jade Emerald Buddha within its ornate ordination hall.
