Brodburger
One does not simply eat at Brodburger. Oh no, that’s not how it works. When you arrive at the once-nomadic burger caravan’s now-permanent home outside the Canberra Glassworks you’re throwing yourself to the mercy of this burger Mount Olympus of sorts. You will order. And you will wait. And then you will wait a bit more. Get a beer while you do. But then! Then your patience shall be rewarded with a burger proportionate to your face and dripping with signature homemade chili aioli. Whether you can finish it or the burger defeats you is another question altogether but, whatever the result, you’ll understand what the cult of Brod is all about.
Location
Much like nearby Manuka, Kingston has long been one of Canberra’s hotspots for dining, cafes, high-end shopping and nightlife – and that reputation has been well and truly consolidated with further cultural and residential developments in recent years. An attractive, leafy, centrally located suburb abutting the south-eastern shore of Lake Burley Griffin.
