Every Thursday morning, rain or shine, farmers drift down from the lush, volcanic hills and converge on Byron Bay. The weekly produce market is not just for locals. Visiting food enthusiasts will enjoy the myriad homegrown delights, from honey and avocados to macadamias and blueberries (which always sell out fast, by the way). Treat yourself to a locally grown and roasted coffee and a freshly baked pastry then sit in the shade of a Moreton Bay fig at the plastic tables covered in hand-embroidered linens – only in Byron. Other nearby farmers’ markets are in Bangalow, 8-11am Saturdays; and Mullumbimby, 7-11am Fridays.
