At Crystal Castle, the organic café, psychic and astrological readings, crystal displays, gift shop and aura photography are all good reasons to visit – but ultimately the Castle’s best features are outside so try to visit on a fine-weather day. The lush gardens are populated with sculptures and boulders of rose quartz; there’s an ancient labyrinth (a way to slow body and mind at the same time), a bamboo walk, a children’s playground (with free face-painting on weekends) and the only Buddhist stupa in the southern hemisphere, built in 2012 and blessed by the 14th Dalai Lama himself.
