Crowne Plaza Terrigal – Hotel Review

Looking for a chic coastal weekend getaway with friends and family that’s close to Sydney? The Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific has it all: from stylish rooms redesigned by Coco Republic, a serene onsite spa, Endota, and a range of dining options, from casual pub fare at Terrigal Beach House to elevated Italian at Meribella restaurant.
Where is Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific?

Situated across from the golden sands of Terrigal Beach, Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific is about 90 minutes from the Sydney CBD by car.
What’s near Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific?
Located on the Central Coast of NSW, this hotel has everything you want within reach. Beach-goers will love this prime location with its namesake beach just across the road (the rock pool at the southern end is a safe and fun option for families with little ones). A stroll south to the headland delivers you to the lookout at The Skillion, where you might spot graceful humpback whales floating past on their migration route (depending on the time of year).
Back along the Esplanade, you’ll find a variety of seaside cafés with crowds sipping on matcha lattes and chatting over acai bowls. If you want to explore further afield, follow the Central Coast Makers Trail for places worth stopping in the region. Our highlight? Indulging in hand-made chocolates paired with Firescreek Botanical wines in Holgate, a 15-minute drive north-east of Terrigal, in the shade of towering jacaranda trees.
Room types

The top tier of Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific is occupied by the 15 exclusive Pacific Suites, all eligible for Pacific Club benefits. These suites feature wrap-around balconies with ocean views, an Endota wellness kit, a deluxe minibar of Four Pillars and Starward Nova spirits and luxury Grown Alchemist amenities. There’s plenty of space for families to stretch out: the king bedroom is separate from the spacious living area, there’s a freestanding tub in the bathroom and the requisite cozy bathrobes and slippers. And room service is also available 24 hours a day just in case you or the kids get peckish. The remaining 184 rooms all have glimpses of the ocean, with sunlit balconies overlooking the lively street scene or a terrace courtyard. A great night's sleep is easy to come by – start by choosing your preferred pillow from the menu.
Restaurants and bars
The velvet chairs and marble-top tables at Meribella on Level 1 usher in a new era of coastal dining in Terrigal, led by head chef Joshua Mason. Offering both an à la carte menu as well as five- and seven-course tasting menus, the focus is, quite rightly, on seafood. A must-try is the delicate crudo of scallop with remoulade, burnt orange, cucumber and lime, with an Oliver’s Taranga Vermentino from McLaren Vale (wine pairings are also available).
Meribella doesn’t forget about its younger diners. There’s a kids menu and colouring activities are promptly delivered, giving parents a chance to indulge in the chocolate crémeux cake, blackberries and hazelnut with cream to finish.
The restaurant transforms into a sunny breakfast space come morning, showcasing its refreshed Art Deco style with grand windows displaying the glorious seaside views. Eggs are made to order but the fluffy Belgian waffles with berry compote are sure to be a crowd-pleaser with the youngsters.
Spa, pool and gym

One of the hotel’s drawcards is the heated outdoor pool and spa, with views of the tops of the Norfolk pines lining the Esplanade and the sparkling ocean backdrop. Open daily from sunrise to sunset, it’s the perfect place to unwind with a poolside cocktail in the afternoon. Next door, the gym is open daily, with all the equipment you need, as well as a boxing area, sauna and steam room.
To complete the indulgence, book in for the Surrender spa package at Endota, a nurturing 75-minute session that includes a massage and facial to send you down to the sand (or back to your suite) in a blissful state.
Sustainability
At Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific (part of IHG Hotels & Resorts), guests can choose a Greener Stay by opting out of daily room servicing. As a thank you, IHG One Rewards members will receive 500 bonus points for each night they decline housekeeping. Guests who came in an EV will be able to plug into one of four chargers available in the underground carpark.
Accessibility
The Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific has designated wheelchair-accessible rooms and lift access to all floors, including the restaurants and bars. The Pine Suites are a good option for guests with reduced mobility because they’re close to the lifts.
In the summer, Terrigal’s local council provides free beach wheelchair rentals and permanent beach matting allows safe access to the sand for those using wheelchairs or walking aids so everyone can have fun on the beach.
Travel for groups
There are interconnecting options across all room types (Resort View, Pool View, Ocean View). For larger groups, it’s possible to request interconnecting Pine Suites when booking. Families can benefit from a pull-out double sofa in the suites, which means the room can accommodate up to two adults and two children. During school holidays an outdoor family zone with giant chess, putt-putt and activities is available for kids of all ages.
