You Can Hang out with Dinosaurs in the Blue Mountains This Summer

Scenic Walkway Blue Mountains

If you’ve ever dreamt of a dinosaur encounter, now’s your chance.

Katoomba outdoor adventure park Scenic World has just launched Dinosaur Valley, a new interactive exhibit taking kids on a journey through time. Visitors this summer will be able to see "dinosaurs" moving through the rainforest, learn fun facts from the dedicated Dinosaur Rangers and explore the fascinating prehistoric world in a beautiful setting. But don't worry, this isn't a Jurassic Park situation – the creatures are strictly animatronic.

All up, there's more than 20 dino-themed exhibits, including Meet and Roar events three times every day where kids can say hello to Ringo the Raptor and Barbara the Baby Dino.

Dinosaur Valley will also host prehistoric-themed events over the next three months, including screenings of blockbuster movies Dinosaur IslandThe Good Dinosaur and Jurassic Park, as well as a Dino Dress Up Day on 26 January.

Entry to Dinosaur Vallery is free with Scenic World, with tickets from $39 for adults, $21 for children under 14 years and $99 for a family pass. Visitors will also get to ride the famous Scenic Railway, which offers incredible panoramic views of the Blue Mountains National Park.

Dinosaur Valley is open from 1 November to 28 January.
