This vast 189-hectare parkland, just 10 minutes’ drive from the CBD, offers myriad ways to make the most of Sydney’s sunshine. Three playgrounds are decked out with modern kiddie-friendly equipment, while the Learners Cycleway is perfect for budding bike riders. Cross-country running, horse riding and rollerblading are other common activities. With its sweeping lawns, the Park is also a delightful place to dine; go for breakfast or lunch at the Centennial Parklands Café and Kiosk. If you prefer to bring your own, there are plenty of picnic tables and electric barbecues around the park.
