Run by a husband/wife team, chef Gregory Llewellyn and Naomi Hart, Hartsyard is a root-to-leaf, nose-to-tail restaurant on Newtown's bustling King Street with a buzzy atmosphere and happening crowd to match. Although a revamp was revealed in January 2018, the restaurant still features dishes of the kind that have made it a local favourite and Newtown stalwart. Seasonal vegetables make frequent appearances on the changing menu, pairing well with all things pickled, smoked and preserved. Plates range from snack-sized to shareable portions (prepare to fight it out with your fellow diners). There's a banquet-style offering of current hits that's definitely worth considering also; and yes, it does include dessert.
