The promenade bordering Bondi’s famous strip of sand is prime dining real estate and Parida, across the road from the Bondi Pavillion, is perfectly positioned for leisurely post-beach refuelling.

Drop in for all-day breakfast (though it's actually served until 3pm) in the shaded, open-air dining area and take your pick from a menu that heroes hearty Middle Eastern flavours and stylish reinventions of brunch favourites. Tuck into the signature Parida’s Benedict, starring smashed avocado and feta, poached eggs, hollandaise and housemade potato rosti – lightly fried balls of creamy, herb-spiked potato. For a more obvious twist on the traditional, try Tahini Eggs – housemade falafel, poached eggs, fried chickpeas, za’atar, cucumber curls and a swirl of yoghurt tahini arranged on a soft disc of pita bread. It looks too pretty to eat but Frida, the owner, provides instructions: smash everything together with a fork then roll it up like a healthy breakfast kebab.

Parida Bondi

A few degrees of separation away from healthy is the indulgent Belgian Waffle, two crisp squares of carby goodness served with vanilla ice-cream, Persian fairy floss, a shot glass full of liquid Belgian chocolate and fresh berries for balance. On the drinks list you’ll find reliably good coffee, a range of cold drips served in cut-glass tumblers, juices and smoothies.

Stumbling off the sand a little later in the day? You may be tempted by the wine list, local tap beer or an Aperol Spritz. The café has also just launched Parida by Night, a casual-dining weekend menu of burgers, salads and share plates with an expanded cocktails list, including summer-friendly sangria jugs.
