With an eclectic program of new Australian works, interpretations of the classics and the best in international writing, Sydney Theatre Company (STC) continues to be a major force in Sydney’s cultural scene. Famous faces like Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett, Geoffrey Rush, Rose Byrne, Richard Roxburgh and Toni Collette have all taken to the stage here. The main action is centred in the Walsh Bay theatre, Wharf 1 and 2 on Pier 4/5 and the Roslyn Packer Theatre, the newest and largest of the three, across the road from Piers 6/7 on Hickson Road. The Theatre Bar at the End of the Wharf (that's at the end of Pier 4/5) is an excellent spot for water views and a pre-show drink.

In addition to the Sydney Theatre Company, the Walsh Bay arts precinct plays host to Sydney Dance Company and Bangarra, Australia's premier Indigenous performing arts company.
