The Langham occupies a prime location on Kent Street in Millers Point on the north-western edge of the central business district, adjacent to The Rocks on the southern shore of Sydney Harbour. It’s a 20-minute drive from Sydney Airport and two kilometres from Town Hall Station and the CBD.

The Langham comprises 96 rooms and suites and offers some of the largest hotel rooms in Sydney. Furnished with custom-made decor – cushioned bedheads and marble-topped tables – in a muted palette of blues, champagne and gold, all rooms, from the base-level Deluxe Room up, feature a king-sized Langham Blissful Bed, Nespresso machine and plush Chuan toiletries stocking the marble bathroom. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are served in-house at Kitchens on Kent, where various cooking stations are helmed by expert chefs. Meals are uniquely interactive; browse the action at the numerous kitchens and take your pick. At breakfast there’s eggs any which way, pastries and fresh fruit. For lunch, the menu wanders from sushi and Pambula rock oysters to roasted leg of lamb and handmade pizza. Dinnertime is similarly adventurous. Don’t forget the sweet stuff: tiramisu, brownies and a chocolate fountain await. The signature Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood is served in the Harbour Room. Rooms eschew desks but have multifunction tables, comfy armchairs and free wi-fi. The enormous, lavish ballroom has space for 200 people – ideal for corporate dinners or conferences. There’s also a function room for smaller gatherings, meetings and networking sessions.

The 20-metre indoor pool with its commanding columns, enormous terracotta planters and domed fibre-optic ceiling lit up to evoke the Southern Hemisphere night sky is the perfect place for a wind-down after a spirited tennis match at The Langham’s court across the road. The Day Spa by Chuan is an underground sanctuary where wellness treatments such as facials and massages are expertly administered. There’s a well-equipped Health Club and the Wellness Channel offers stretching, pilates, cardio and resistance workout routines to be completed in the comfort of your room.
