Rainbow Falls, Macquarie Pass National Park
Distance from Sydney: One-and-a-half-hour’s drive
Wading through the tangle of native eucalypts, Illawarra flame trees and the lush ferns of Macquarie Pass National Park is bliss for nature lovers, even before you stumble upon one of many waterfalls dotted along the track. The biggest and most impressive of the group is Rainbow Falls, found in a turn of the Macquarie Rivulet along the Clover Hill Trail.
